Interests Matcher

The Interests Matcher will help you to identify and understand your work-related interests, preferences, and motivations.

From the Career Tools menu in the top navigation bar, select the Interests Matcher.




Click Begin to start answering the 60 questions included in the Interest Matcher.
 



To answer a question, read the prompt ("I would like to:...") and select a sentiment (Strongly agree, Agree, It depends, etc.) by clicking the corresponding face tile. 


Once the face tile is clicked, the next question will appear.  Navigation to review previously answered questions is available using the Previous and Next buttons.


After answering each question, click Submit.



The Interests Matcher results will be displayed with an option to retake.  The results will now also be displayed in the Matcher Results section of My Career Page.



To learn more about each Interest, click the on an Interest tab header. The tab will open and more information on that particular Interest will be displayed. 




Below the Interests list, click View careers to explore options that match the results to the Interest Matcher.




The listed careers will be displayed near the bottom of the page.




To filter the career list by specific Interests, use the filter options above the Interests list. Select up to three different Interests, and then, click Search to populate the results.




The results will be shown at the bottom of the page. Click on the Occupation Name to learn more about a career.
