Create a Custom Activity

Create your own custom activities using question items from any curriculum.

Select Custom activities from the dropdown menu on the Add Assignment page.

Click the Create new button.

Associate the activity with a course by selecting one from the dropdown. This association cannot be changed, but when assigning activities, any custom activity can be assigned to any course.

Write an activity title and description, and click Create.

On the Create Custom Activity page, you can still alter your activity's title and description by clicking the pencil button.

Build your custom activity by clicking the Find items button.

Search by:
  1. Curriculum (Geometry, Algebra II...)
  2. Chapter number (i.e. Chapter 1, Chapter 2...)
  3. Lesson number (i.e. Lesson 1, Lesson 2...)
To search for multiple tags at the same time, click the Find by tags dropdown arrow and type terms into the Match at least one tag search bar.

Only items from Exploration lessons are available.  When filtering for a specific curriculum, chapter, and lesson, be sure you are searching for an Exploration (not Application) lesson to see results.

Filter for items by specific terms or phrases (i.e. angles, acute angles) by clicking the Find by reference search bar dropdown arrow. Then, type terms into the Find by content search bar.

Preview items using the eye icon. Select the desired item checkboxes and click the Add Item(s) button to add the selected items to your custom activity.

Click VIEW ACTIVITY to see the activity built with the items you selected.

Reorder items by clicking and dragging the three line icon.  Remove items by selecting the desired checkbox(es) and clicking the Remove button.

Click Publish when you are finished creating the activity. Alternatively, if your activity isn't ready to publish, click the Back button to return to the Custom Activities page. The activity will be saved as a draft and available to edit.

Refresh the page if your new custom activity is not appearing after clicking the Publish or Back buttons.

Share your activity with your district by clicking the Share button.  Anyone in your district will now be able to search for this activity and assign it to their classes.
Sharing is a permanent action. Once shared, an activity cannot be unshared or deleted
